Canadian Wildfowl Carving Artists Win Big at the Ward World

  Canadian wildfowl carvers captured four of the five major awards at the Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving
 
 
  Bruce Lepper from Millbrook Ontario won the prestigious John Scheeler Memorial Award, for decorative life size wildfowl with Rose -breasted Grosbeak male. 

 
 Wayne Simkin from Elmvale, Ontario won the decorative life-size waterfowl competition with a pair of Steller's Eiders.
        Second in this class was Jason Lucio of Bothwell ,Ontario.
   
  Jeff Krete, Cambridge (H) was the winner of the Decorative Miniature Wildfowl class with a Great Argus Pheasant.
        Third in this class was
Gillies Prud'homme

Gillies Prud'homme , Val Caron, Ontario. with a group of Peregrine Falcons.

 
  Lynn Branson, British Columbia won the Interpretive Wood Sculpture class with a Snowy White Owl.
 
Ontario carvers also performed well in the Master level.
